My name is Jacek Tylkowski, and I am a master bookbinder with decades of hands-on experience. Since 1991, I have been running Introligatornia Tylkowski, a family-owned bindery established by my father in 1980. Today, our workshop is based in Komorniki, near Poznań, Poland.
Over the years, I have directed my craft towards collaborations with publishing houses, specializing in the art of small-run bookbinding. Every project, regardless of its size, receives my full attention and dedication to quality, ensuring that each piece reflects the precision and care that define my work.
The craft of bookbinding continues to captivate me, and I devote a large part of my professional life to mastering modern binding techniques. In my free time, I explore the Internet and industry literature, keeping up with current trends and innovative practices in the field. My approach is to blend the traditions of handcraft with contemporary design, which is the very foundation of my work.
For clarity, I would like to note that I do not undertake book restoration or conservation projects, nor do I offer printing or last-minute orders. I welcome commissions from both Poland and abroad, with communication available in English and Czech (English speaking / Mluvím česky).
